Living Free in God’s Approval

Scripture: Galatians 1:10 (KJV) — “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

Reflection

Life often pulls us in the direction of pleasing others—seeking approval, avoiding conflict, or measuring our worth by someone else’s opinion. But Paul reminds us that living for the applause of people and living as a servant of Christ can’t coexist.

When we trade God’s approval for human applause, we carry chains of anxiety, guilt, and exhaustion. But when we live in the freedom of His acceptance, we can walk lighter, love deeper, and serve with joy. God’s “well done” outweighs every human compliment or criticism.

Freedom comes when God’s voice matters most.

Application

Ask yourself: Who am I trying to impress today? Shift your focus from performing for others to pleasing Christ with a surrendered heart.

Prayer

Lord, deliver me from the trap of seeking people’s approval. Help me rest in Your love and live free in Your grace. Amen.
